In the arctic half-light of Bridger Canyon
Existence fades away to being with my soul, and
Memories of the Blackfoot River sounds return me whole

There’s a four-count time, the hope that fish will rise
A deep contentment as the sun rests in the sky

And in between all of these things a wild river runs

The river’s wide, cut from the world’s great flood
